{"id":20133,"date":"2025-11-08T12:20:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T12:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/misrmubashir.com\/?p=20133"},"modified":"2025-11-08T12:22:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T12:22:08","slug":"zahi-hawass-from-sharjah-international-book-fair-my-greatest-hope-is-to-make-two-major-discoveries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/misrmubashir.com\/en\/20133","title":{"rendered":"Zahi Hawass from Sharjah International Book Fair: My Greatest Hope Is to Make Two Major Discoveries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>By Nanees Afiffy \u2013 October 30, 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass revealed during his participation in the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair that he is on the verge of announcing two significant archaeological discoveries \u2014 one in Saqqara and another in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor \u2014 expressing that \u201chis ultimate hope\u201d is to uncover both soon.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">During a packed discussion session at the fair, Hawass shared his personal reflections on what he described as \u201cthe two most anticipated discoveries in the world,\u201d speaking with visible passion about his decades-long journey in Egyptology and the mysteries that still await discovery.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201c<strong>My Greatest Hope\u201d \u2014 Two Discoveries That Could Rewrite History<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Addressing the audience, Hawass said:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>\u201cMy greatest hope is to make these two discoveries \u2014 and I truly feel that I will.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>The first is the tomb of Imhotep \u2014 the genius of architecture who built the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the first pyramid in history. He was the one who transformed construction from mudbrick to stone, who created the first roof and the first column carved in stone.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He added:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201c<strong>Finding Imhotep\u2019s tomb would be more important than the discovery of Tutankhamun\u2019s tomb.
