According to DigiTimes, a major Apple product assembly plant in China was targeted by a sophisticated cyberattack in mid-December. The report suggests that the breach may have exposed sensitive data related to Apple’s manufacturing operations. However, the full scope and impact of the incident remain unclear, and investigations are ongoing to determine whether any data loss or operational disruption occurred.

The report did not disclose the name of the company operating the factory. Apple works with several major manufacturing partners in China, including Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron.
