The Israeli cabinet discusses the occupation of Gaza, and Trump gives the green light to operate freely.

The Israeli security cabinet convenes today, Thursday, amid conflicting indications regarding the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, which is experiencing internal divisions reflecting a struggle between the military and political tracks.
According to Axios, the cabinet meeting is expected to be a critical turning point, as it will discuss a plan to expand military operations with the aim of imposing full control and occupying the Gaza Strip, particularly in areas where prisoners are believed to be held.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the cabinet is expected to decide during its meeting this evening to expand operations, occupy Gaza City, and displace approximately one million Palestinians southward.
In this context, Israel’s Channel 12 quoted US officials as saying that President Trump does not intend to interfere in the Israeli decision-making process regarding Gaza and will allow Israel freedom of action in the Strip.
Also, in a US position, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced that Washington would fund the expansion of aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip, increasing their number from four to 16.
Israeli reports indicated that this move is part of a plan to evacuate Palestinians from the central region to the south.
