The commander of the Internal Security Forces in Damascus Governorate, Brigadier General Osama Muhammad Khair Atikah, revealed that the Criminal Investigation Branch was able, in less than 24 hours, to uncover the circumstances surrounding the murder of artist Diala Salhi al-Wadi, whose body was found inside her home in the al-Maliki neighborhood of Damascus.
Brigadier General Atikah stated that specialized security teams immediately arrived at the scene upon receiving the report. They collected evidence, reviewed surveillance cameras, and cross-referenced information. Initial investigations revealed that the artist had been assisted by a cleaning lady, who later confessed to her involvement in the crime in coordination with another individual, with the intent of committing theft.
